RC electric helicopter, or better known as radio controlled electic helicopter is exactly what the E-Flite Blade 400 is. Variously described as rc electric helicopter, radio control electric helicopter, radio controlled electric helicopter, remote control electric helicopter or even remote controlled electric helicopter, but all referring to the same thing.
I’ve had my Blade 400 for five weeks and I have to say this helicopter is very easy to assemble. Once charged, the helicopter almost flies itself and is able to take a few tough landings. It is a really nice heli! I’m still relatively new to RC helicopters so when I fired this ‘puppy’ up I realized this thing is VERY powerful for a mini rc electric helicopter! But after easing the throttle up just enough to get it just lifting off I found that it is very stable for a 3d heli. I got it into a hover in just minutes with little correction, after a couple of heavy landings, which the Blade 400 can take with no problems.
I am now hovering it very nicely and making controlled flights. There are lots of youtube videos on the E-Flite Blade 400 and that’s how I learned to fiy, set it up and fix it. The instruction manual is not that great because it assumes that you have background in RC helicopters. Another negative is the AC charger is not included, but that is only a minor point.
This helicopter is popular so spare parts are, quite likely, readily available from your local model store or online so the heli should not be ‘grounded’ for long if you crash it to start with. All in all a very good rc electric helicopter and surprisingly stable for such a powerful one.
